The World’s Largest Fuel Cell Plant Constructed in Daegu

On Friday, April 16, the Daegu Metropolitan City will sign a MOU for constructing the world’s largest fuel cell plant within the Seongseo 4-cha industrial complex and expanding the distribution of urban-type fuel cells with the professional energy consulting company, the Cobalt Sky Co. Ltd, and Korea’s largest fuel cell distributor, Posco Power Co. Ltd, at the City Hall Situation Room at 11:30AM.

○ The Cobalt Sky Co. Ltd plans to establish TCS One Co. Ltd (by investing 60 billion won) to construct the world’s largest H2-fuel cell plant (11.2MW) in Daecheon-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu by introducing the system of Posco Power Co. Ltd, the leading fuel cell company.

○ The generation for the first 5.6MW and the second 5.6MW will take place in September of this year and in September of 2011, respectively, so that annually about 90,000Mwh of power and 20,000Gcal of heat can be produced and stably supplied to the neighbouring companies.
